We're still collecting donations
On the 25th April 2024 we'd raised £315 with 13 supporters in 28 days. But as every pound matters, we're continuing to collect donations from supporters.

More Green voices are vital for ensuring that residents have an independent voice on the Council. Unlike the other parties Green councillors are not told what to say through a ‘party whip’ and are therefore free to speak up for the residents who elected them, and to hold the Council to account.
And, as anyone who has one will testify, there is no such thing as a lazy Green councillor! As our first councillor - Julie Adshead in Whitewell ward – has demonstrated, you can be sure that every Green councillor will be amongst the most responsive and hardworking representatives on the Council. Which is why - as here in Rossendale - more and more of them keep getting elected, and re-elected.
In the last Rossendale elections, after 4 years as a councillor, Julie Adshead’s track record saw her vote increase from 35% to a massive 54% - more votes than the other two candidates put together. And the same elections saw 200 new Green councillors elected across the country, an increase from 175 seats to 737 in just 4 years.
Our energetic campaigners and local volunteers are doing a fantastic job getting the message across with their year-round door-knocking and leafletting. But this costs vital money, and as Greens, we raise all our funding from members and supporters. We don't get donations from big corporations or trade unions.
There is so much to do to be certain of winning. Every £100 will gift an extra leaflet for almost 5000 households. £20 gifts over 1000 calling cards to residents, with £10 an extra 30 posters!
We rely on the dedication and hard-work of volunteers. Please share far and wide with friends and family! Donate generously if you possibly can!
As Greens, we are committed to making Rossendale fairer, safer, and greener for all its residents.
As well as being one of Rossendale’s most responsive and hard-working councillors Green Party councillor Julie Adshead is also well-known for her road safety campaigns and her work in protecting residents from the effects of flooding in the Valley. She is also a tireless champion for maintaining our green spaces and was instrumental in putting forward the Council’s Climate Emergency motion in 2019. Your continued support for Green candidates can help us to ensure that we continue to hold decision-makers' feet to the fire over these and other issues.
Looking ahead, we are ready for a general election now so we can offer residents across Rossendale and Darwen a credible alternative to the failed policies of the two other parties. Bob Bauld is our Green Party candidate in this parliamentary constituency, and your donations also support funding deposits for his general election campaign!
Any donations not spent in this campaign will be used to fund future Green Party election campaigns in Rossendale. By making a donation you confirm that you are eligible to make political donations in the UK, and that this donation is not made for or on behalf of any other person. All donations received are subject to the regulations of the Political Parties, Elections and Referendums Act 2000. Promoted by Paul Chynoweth on behalf of Rossendale Green Party, both c/o 2-3 Hall Carr Mill Cottages, Rossendale BB4 7QD.
