🚨 The General Election has now been called. 🚨
In just 6 weeks, voters in Faversham and Mid Kent will make their voices heard at the ballot box. We need your help to get the Green message out.
6 weeks and counting - let's go ✊
The Green Party are DIFFERENT
Unlike other parties, we aren't funded by big business and vested interests. We are powered by people like you.
This means that we are independent and free to stand up for what is right, not what private donors want us to say.
But it also means that we rely on the people who agree with our vision for the future to support us when they can. This means YOU!
Every pound you can spare now will help us to reach more people with our vision of hope and change through leafletting, canvassing, social media adverts and events.
Every candidate and every vote COUNTS!
Standing General Election candidates and running campaigns also helps us generate Short Money – the financial assistance every opposition party receives to help fund parliamentary business. This is worth around £1 per vote to the Green Party – no matter which constituency that vote came from.
Running effective campaigns and gathering more votes doesn't just demonstrate our growing strength; it's a strategic move that could fund our mission over the entire parliamentary term.
Hannah Temple is the BEST CANDIDATE for this area
Hannah is a sustainability and human rights expert who lives in Faversham and runs her own business helping organisations to become more sustainable.
She is passionate about creating a society that prioritises the wellbeing of people and planet, both now and for the future. As well as pursuing this through her work, she also does everything she can to bring this vision to life by volunteering and acting in the local community, from planting trees and litter picking to monitoring water quality and fighting to protect our libraries.
She is also committed to being an example of a different kind of politics - a politics of decency, honesty and bravery.
Hannah says “I firmly believe that, whilst we do face huge challenges, we also have amazing opportunities to create a truly compassionate and just society. The Green Party’s vision for the future is both beautiful and practical and I am proud to stand for it.”
Support for Hannah:
“Hannah Temple will be a brilliant Member of Parliament who will always put the interests of our area first. She is diligent, honest, positive and ambitious, just the kind of person we need in Parliament” Stuart Jeffery, leader of Maidstone Borough Council
“I am proud to endorse Hannah Temple. Her honesty and integrity make her a strong, ethical leader. I trust that Hannah will work hard to create a fair future for everyone.” Rich Lehmann, Swale Borough and Kent County Councillor
Greens are WINNING!
We have seen an almost five-fold increase in Green councillors over the last few local elections.
Just a few weeks ago people across Maidstone made their voices heard - electing their first Green-led Borough council government.
We will see a continuation of this trend at the General Election but ONLY if we have the support to run great campaigns.
P.S. Because we're a political party we're required to run electoral register checks from people making donations above £500, and if you donate over £1,500 during a year, we are required to let the Electoral Commission know, who will make this available on their website.
