We're still collecting donations
On the 28th February 2022 we'd raised £6,013 with 110 supporters in 110 days. But as every pound matters, we're continuing to collect donations from supporters.
We have an initial goal of £25k with a stretch target of £100k which would help keep us going during the critical winter period and beyond

Firstly, thank you to all of you that have supported our work thus far, be it financial or non-financial, without this support everything we have achieved today would not have been possible.
At current, our main operation consists of redirecting food that would otherwise go to waste, and redistributing it to up to 40 receiving partners (currently we've had to scale it down to around 25 due to budget restrictions) made up of homeless shelters, community kitchens, food banks, and youth groups week-in-week-out. Not only are these services vital in helping to tackle food poverty in our communities but it is also vital from a environmental perspective tackling the growing atrocity of food waste that has become all too common in our 'modern day' food supply chains.
As part of this, for those that are most vulnerable/isolated and those that would find it extremely difficult, or unable to access vital frontline services like food banks, and services alike, we also support a growing list of families/individuals directly with free food parcels which we are able to deliver straight to their doors.
Given that the availability of surplus is not always guaranteed, or varied enough, we also use some of our budget to buy produce and where we can tailor it to suit the needs of those that we support. This may be by trying to provide ingredients that are more culturally appropriate all the way from ensuring groups that serve those who are homeless/without the use of a kitchen have increased amounts of fruit.
On top of the above, we also manage 4 urban growing sites that were once disused/derelict urban spaces which we have since regenerated and now exist as community accessible, inclusive, educational and safe facilitated growing sites.
Nevertheless, we are in a critical period and very soon, if we don't raise the money we need, we are facing the potential of having to temporarily halt, or severely reduce, our operations, at least until we can get enough capital and infrastructure to build it back up again.
As such, if you are able to support our crowdfunder with either a one off donation, or even a regular one, that would be deeply appreciated by all of us here at Edible London and all those that we support.
