Inclusive Reusable Period Supplies Project

Aim: To ensure reusable period products are available for everyone who needs them, reduce period poverty & reduce waste.

Funds raised will be used to power the marketing function of the business and build a social enterprise devoted to helping reduce Period waste and make reusable supplies available to everyone. 

Historically period products, despite being a necessity, have been classed as a luxury item, taxed by the government and brands allowed to charge as they please. The environmental impact of disposable Period products is horrifying, with 200,000 tonnes going to landfill according to the London Assembly. They will outlive our presence on this planet.  

 OnlyNomesForYou aims to help end period poverty. For too long periods have been a source of shame and embarrassment and often more painful than they should be. Scientific research shows the significant role that chemical- filled disposable products play in disrupting our hormones and charities such as WEN.org.uk play an important role in educating us to make better choices. Whilst the re-popularisation of reusable Period products is encouraging, we are still suffering from premium brands dominating the market and, of course, the added tax. 

Working with Period Poverty charities is an important part of OnlyNomesForYou's vision to raise awareness and offer support to those who need it. By raising awareness and reducing the stigma surrounding periods, it's not just a 'female' problem. In a world embracing gender diversity, no one should feel left out.
