Social housing including, 24/7 support in well maintained accommodation and additional independent living service. CQC Registered Domiciliary Care. Community support. Projects, Social clubs and Events for both adults and children/young people.

East Kent Mencap is an amazing local charity that truly changes lives. We provide vital care, support and a valuable community for people with a learning disability. We help people at home, in our resource centres and in the community, as well as providing social clubs and events too. What is particularly brilliant about East Kent Mencap is that all our work is person-centred, which means we treat everyone as an individual. All our services focus on the individual to enrich and develop their independent life, building confidence and having fun along the way.
Through our work we:
enable and empower adults and children with a learning disability to achieve the things they want out of life through choice, support and opportunity.
promote the independence of people with a learning disability as much as possible,
advocate for people with a learning disability to feel valued and included within their local communities.
It's not just the individuals with a learning disability that our work benefits - we also work with families and carers when preparing support plans, and signpost them to relevant information and services.
