We're still collecting donations
On the 6th March 2019 we'd raised £835 with 20 supporters in 49 days. But as every pound matters, we're continuing to collect donations from supporters.

On the 6th March 2019 we'd raised £835 with 20 supporters in 49 days. But as every pound matters, we're continuing to collect donations from supporters.
During our original crowdfunding campaign, we raised £835 with 20 supporters in 49 days. A BIG Thank you to those who donated. We have kept the campaign open to accept donations to help us reach our original target of £50,000, offer rewards to our supporters and to make this project happen. Find out more about our original plans below.
We are Debs and Tom, and we are on a mission with our project, Earthkin. We are selling our home to help fund this project but we need to raise funds to buy land, The vision stems from our deep love of nature, past work with wildlife and support work for those with social anxiety and learning difficulties.
Our goal is to create a wildlife and nature reserve on a large piece of farming land within the UK, to allow the land to become a habitat for all of nature, to be a release site for rehabiliated wildlife and those under threat. We want to plant trees, hedging, re introduce bog areas and allow the natural eco system to return. We believe that with the current decline in species and suitable habitat, future generations are at risk of missing out on seeing and experiencing the full array of nature that we saw in our childhood. We want the children of the future to know what Mrs Tiggywinkle looks like in real life. To hear the call of a skylark. To see the ladybirds fly away home. Not just in books and on recorded footage but to be able to see it for themselves. We also want to create an eco based community centre on the land where people can come and learn about the simplicity of self sufficiency, nature based crafts, basic skills including growing and preparing food, environmenal awareness and the importance of living and working in balance with our surroundings. You can see our full vision on our website www.earthkin.org and you can also find out more about us, our furry and feathery family and how this vision came about. We will be regularly updating our blog so you can follow our adventures.
