Appeal to friends of Duffield Meadows School following Storm Babet #HelpMeadowsBounceBack. The PTFA committee is organising a campaign to help Duffield Meadows Bounce Back from the devastating damage caused by Storm Babet. The school was overwhelmed by flood waters and is indefinitely closed. Please help our school in its darkest hour, contribute to the PTFA Bounce Back Fund and spread the word. As with other PTFA funds, the proceeds from this crowdfunder will not be used to restore the bricks and mortar of the school; instead, they will be used as per the PTFAs Charitable objectives for engaging 'in activities or providing facilities or equipment which support the school and advance the education of the pupils' both while they are temporarily based in Belper and once they return to Duffield.

Duffield Meadows School has been a much-loved part of our community in Duffield since 1965. However the school has never been in a greater time of need…
We need your support to #HelpMeadowsBounceBack from Storm Babet
On 20th October Storm Babet ripped through Duffield causing both River Ecclesbourne and River Derwent to hit record levels and break their banks.
This overwhelmed our beloved school with children evacuated and classrooms underwater.
The school is now closed and emergency measures are being put into place. We do not yet know how or when we will get our school back up and running.
Some books and buildings may be beyond repair, but the true strength of Duffield Meadows is not those books and buildings…
So this is an urgent call to arms to all friends of the school – parents, alumni wherever you are now… please help Duffield Meadows in its darkest hour by helping us create a PTFA Bounce Back Fund.
Please contribute £10 – or whatever you can afford - to our campaign and spread the word!
