Who are we?
DoubleYou Productions was launched in 2024 to provide artists working across a variety of theatre & film disciplines with a collaborative space to take risks, develop new work and answer big questions. The brainchild of Louis Cunningham and Maddy Maguire, the company seeks to produce new writing on stage and screen, telling under-celebrated stories and platforming fresh voices.
Now armed with a renewed dream to support socially- conscious writing from early and mid-career multidisciplinary creatives, we’ve returned with DoubleYou.
What do we need?
In our first year of operations, we need some help. To cover the initial costs of establishing the company, developing our first project and compensating our artists, we’re looking for start-up donations with a target of £5000 to raise.
This pot will allow us to lay the foundations for years of collaborative theatre and filmmaking to come, and will pay for:
- Administrative costs associated with company start-up and initial registration (£500)
- Branding & marketing support to allow us to launch a website and social media (£400)
- Venue costs and artist expenses to attend key creative development & production meetings (£600)
- Research & development of our first project (£1200)
- Fundraising support to enable us to apply for grant opportunities from trusts, foundations and public sources of funding to support our first project (£300)
- Initial production costs of our first project (£2000)
What can we offer?
With these donations, we will be able to launch DoubleYou in a sustainable and ethical way, nurturing a platform for creative work which will live and grow for many years beyond this initial phase in our development.
We are so grateful for the support of our donors at this key moment in our story as a company. In return for your support, we can offer any of the below if of interest:
- Free tickets to the first show or screening we host as a production company
- Executive Producer credits on the first show or film we produce
- Acknowledgement on our website, social media channels and in printed materials associated with the first show or film we produce
Please note: DoubleYou Productions is not yet a registered charity so any donations will not be tax-deductible.
