We're still collecting donations

On the 2nd May 2025 we'd raised £460 with 31 supporters in 14 days. But as every pound matters, we're continuing to collect donations from supporters.

Lucas rehearses a dance in his bedroom, preparing for an audition for a dance school in London.
He then goes for lunch with his parents. Here the family bump into one of the dad’s old schoolmates who wishes Lucas luck for the audition.
Lucas is in the park with his friends who are smoking. Lucas is not smoking in preparation for the audition. Instead, and with the boy's encouragement, he performs his prepared routine for them.
The next day, he and his family travel to London for the audition, starting the journey on a quiet, 2 carriage train and ending the journey on the central line.
At the audition he performs his routine well but the boys there are very competitive and unfriendly to one another.
After the rest of the audition has taken place, Lucas waits with the other contestants, some of whom talk boldly about all the other dance schools they have applied for. It is announced that Lucas has got through into the next stage of the auditions. But, instead of accepting the place he walks out, deciding not to take it.
After the journey back Lucas is lying awake in his room. Unable to sleep he puts his headphones on and performs the routine one last time.
