My family have been fighting the Mortgage lender for almost 10 years.
They were advised incorrectly by that lender, who made repeated clerical mistakes which prevented us from moving forward (and for which I have proof).
Both family members passed away... then Covid struck... and when the world returned to normal... they and the solicitors claimed that they had 'no records leading up to that point'... and so everything started again.. but this time I was the only living witness to the events that had taken place.
It cost me everything... and destroyed my life.
Earlier this year I attempted to rebuild, and instructed a new (more expensive) solicitor... who again, have been neglegent (and I can show their letter of apology as proof).
The property went on the market at the end of 2023 to obtain an acurate valuation... and attracted enough buyers with firm offers... which could not be accepted without the certificate of Probate.
The oustanding balance is just over 1/3 of that market value.
Now, the Court has granted them permission to evict, and is sending the muscle to do so next week.
I wish to continue the legal process... appeal... and find a new solicitor that'll actually stand by me and do their job properly... long enough at least, to save the family home from their deplorable clutches. I would dearly love to also hold all parties to account for their re-occuring failures of service... but this is a pipe-dream at this stage without an adequate team of support. I simply wish to not let them win.
I am willing to sign myself to ANY reasonable contract and long-term repayment plan that would allow me to achieve this goal.. and continue to live here until the Probate is obtained. It has been (and is) my only place of safety as I move through myillness and transition.
