Gutted as I had a car boot full of stuff I could have donated and was going to donate but there wasn't any info on when the next intake would likely be. If I had known I only had a week or so to wait I'd have held onto it. So my suggestion would be...if you are at full capacity for donations but know you will be distributing and clearing it out and know when more donations will be accepted, put a rough indication of this on the website so people might hold onto anything they've gathered. I took my stuff (teen boys clothes, shoes and girls clothes plus toys and books) to charity bins and shops but would totally have held onto it for a bit longer if I'd know there was going to be another intake. Never mind though, I am sure I have more I can gather together 😊. Great to see such an amazing initiative with lots of support.

Donations given through a charity book auction that I held. Hope this money provides help and comfort to those making a new life in Fife. You are all very welcome here.

Kindness towards people in need who we may never meet is so important. May those who have lost country, home, loved ones and possessions feel loved and valued and welcome in the UK. Grateful thanks to those who are working hard to make it so.

My own grandparents were refugees to uk so I feel particularly strongly that we should welcome and help the Afghan refugees in their enforced new lives.
