Grimsby Central Hall Trust: Dedicated to maintaining, repairing, and restoring our hall, for continued use by grassroots music and theatre
by Grimsby Central Hall Trust in Grimsby, England, United Kingdom
On the 3rd September 2021 we'd raised £540 with 10 supporters in 56 days. But as every pound matters, we're continuing to collect donations from supporters.
First opened in 1936, Grimsby Central Hall is the oldest surviving continuous concert venue in North East Lincolnshire. For many, remains undiscovered. Step through the entrance in Duncombe Street and enter into the deceptively large venue, with not one, but two halls, used for events, big and small, arts and sports classes, and also used by many social and charitable enterprises.
Grimsby Central Hall is also more than just a popular concert venue, it is a hub of the Grimsby community, and hosts a variety of weekly clubs and societies, as well as being a venue for training courses and conferences.
An independent non-profit making charitable trust, we are committed to keeping this iconic building alive, while catering for its future in the modern world.
An iconic building in the centre of town, we aim to modernise the running of the hall, but still keep its heritage charm, and original features.
We want to ensure we can keep providing this heritage building, for the use it was always intended for: Grassroots music and theatre, and a community meeting point at the heart of Grimsby.
All our proceeds go to the maintenance and upkeep of maintaining such a grand old building... we have done so much, and had such a massive help from our army of volunteers and trustees, however we need your help!
Any Donations we receive will directly have an impact by allowing us to raise money for:
We can do so much more, and make sure we pass the torch of the Grimsby Central Hall to the next generations.
Please join us on our journey! Even small donations help us keep the Hall going!
