In May 2023, I started an Early years and Primary school out of compassion for the overwhelming number of children of school going age who were not in school in the community of Lukaka, Mityana Uganda.
This is a community affected by perpetual poverty, deprivation, incest, HIV, poor attitude to education and lack of diverse sources of livelihood.
Currently the school has 110 pupils solely funded by me through hard-work, working over-time and personal and family sacrifices. I spend £2,200 every month to run the school
As the number of children has increased, it is becoming increasingly difficult to fund this cause without help. The children now urgently need another class block. Some are currently having classes outside in the open, which is very worrying especially when it rains.
There has been a great transformation in the community since the school started. The school has not only provided hope for these children and their families, it has also opened up job opportunities. We are currently employing over 20 members of the community.
We need your financial support to build a new class block and also meet some of the running costs.
