DOGO

DOGO is a healthcare charity that seeks to provide medical assistance and advocacy for those most in need. We source donations to carry out these activities. Founded by a team of Ex Googlers, we seek to use cutting edge technology to enhance the health of individuals by building solutions to pressing healthcare problems.

Here's how it all started:

On the phone with my language teacher, I learned of a girl who had passed away in his community because of an illness that could have been treated for £5. 

Although diseases like Cholera, Malaria and Typhoid can be addressed with a simple course of medication, many communities simply can’t pay for treatment.

Knowing this hurt, because we knew people world over would help If there was a secure infrastructure to enable it. Not some black hole, but a transparent system where you could track every last cent. 

So we got to work.

- My friend would find people in his community that needed help.

- I’d design a platform to sign up and verify patients 

- Finally we’d find a local hospital whose doctors could treat patients and afterwards submit an itemised bill to our platform, for us to pay direct to the hospital.

After a year of testing and learnings, we have DOGO stands signing up patients in 6 cities and a donor app that shows you the direct impact you're making.
