Who are we?
Dishforth Cricket is a stepping stone / grass roots project working to see the return of cricket to the village. The cricket square is in need of investment to ensure safe play can be achieved from 2025 and beyond.
Why are we crowdfunding?
There is currently no established club or funding route at this time to progress or support this project. The cricket square requires maintenance & purchase of bespoke materials such as Loam to progress and improve the quality of the playing surface. Ultimately without funding, cricket cannot return to the village and the opportunity to build a cricketing arm to the community would be lost.
How we’ll spend the money raised?
The money raised at this time will be spent on materials to improve and maintain the cricket square, thereby providing a safe surface to play cricket.
Community impact
Village cricket can be re introduced to the community in the forthcoming years.

There are four simple ways to help us reach our target, and make this project a reality.
