Holyrood 2021 Digital Hustings

With Covid restrictions in place and the Scottish Parliamentary Elections scheduled for May 2021, the likelihood of normal hustings is very slim. Party leaders will no doubt be involved at some point on the main media outlets but we hope to provide a hustings that allows for the electorate to interact with candidates standing in North Lanarkshire and Mid Scotland.
North Lanarkshire Live began in 2017 and has provided a platform for a variety of community groups, political parties and activists as well as general entertainment.
During Lock Down we have developed our remote filming capabilities to allow us to host a guest via video link. The broadcast software we use is limited to one caller but we are looking to upgrade to allow up to 8 callers simultaneously.
We are also looking to improve our audience interaction workflow to enable a more interactive experience.
The Money raised will go mainly to software upgrades with any excess going to advertising the upcoming hustings.
