We manage the county public library services Desborough, run children's activities and offer many different events - all to keep our library open and our community involved

Back in late 2017, Northamptonshire County Council had some serious financial trouble and from this Community Manages Libraries were created to takeover the management of many of the county's libraries to keep them open.
Desborough Library and Community Hub (DLCH) is one of these groups and we have kept our library open and extended the offerings to make the library building a real community hub - we hold events, offer room hire, have craft sessions, welcome groups such as Accommodation Concern, WRVS, WI, WRBL and Northamptonshire Carers, have become a venue for Adult Learning and work tirelessly to generate all the income required to keep the public library service open and use the wonderful building.
We help people with Blue Badge and Bus Pass applications and are there for everyone.
We also work with Desborough Good Neighbours Network, looking after the vulnerable people in our community. Their social lunches are launching very soon - another wonderful idea only possible because of the library building.
Every penny we can raise helps us ensure the future of this very important place.
