DHBT is a non-profit registered charity, committed to the heritage of Derbyshire. We provide help and advice to groups and individuals sharing a passion for historic buildings. We identify neglected buildings and then work to bring them back into new, sustainable use. One such building is our current project, Wingfield Station - a surviving example of a very early rural railway station - one of the earliest in the world. The Station and Goods Shed have been rescued from dereliction by the Derbyshire Historic Buildings Trust.

0About Derbyshire Historic Buildings Trust
Derbyshire Historic Buildings Trust (DHBT) is a non-profit registered charity that is committed to the heritage of Derbyshire; working with its own in-house professionals to provide help and advice to groups and individuals sharing a passion for historic buildings.
DHBT is independent of government and local authorities. It relies entirely on generating its own income through grants, donations and commercial activities.
We need more people to support us in our bid to rescue and protect historic buildings. You don't have to own an historic building or be a professional architect or developer - just have an interest in protecting Derbyshire's heritage.
We need your help so together we can reduce, protect and preserve Derbyshire's historic buildings. We've achieved a lot so far, but there is so much more to do. Our list of important buildings at risk doesn't get any shorter!
With your help we will be able to build on our mission to:
- safeguard the historic buildings we treasure
- rescue and creatively reuse buildings no longer fit for purpose
- help people to live or work in their historic buildings and look after them for future generations to enjoy
- increase people's access and enjoyment of our built heritage through education, training and community involvement.
