As a free community art project we aim to provide accessible arts sessions for those living or being diagnosed with Dementia.

by Elizabeth Stirk-Williams in Ashton-under-Lyne, Greater Manchester, United Kingdom

From January 2025 we aim to provide regular, free art sessions for those living with Dementia in Manchester. All our staff will be volunteers and all proceeds will go to purchasing materials for the sessions, advertising our sessions to the community and any running costs for room hire etc. We hope to apply for matched funding that means every pound you donate may double.

Sessions will provide friendly, accessible art sessions to the community for anyone who has been diagnosed, or is in the process of being diagnosed, with Dementia giving them a creative and relaxing space to enjoy whilst also allowing their carers time to also have a chat and enjoy a brew.

We are already established as an arts and crafts event organiser at Little Owl Studio in Woodend Mill Mossley and will be able to use these connections to secure volunteer assistance and at cost material supplies to make these funds go as far as possible!

We hope you can support us with the price of a coffee! Thanks for reading!
