Hi everyone, my name is Dave and I'm reaching out to you today with a story close to my heart. For most of my life, I was fortunate to enjoy good health. But at 54 things took a turn. A major heart attack brought me face-to-face with my own mortality, and I'm incredibly grateful to the NHS for saving my life.
Since then, I've battled a series of health challenges, including an underactive thyroid, osteoarthritis, ME CFS, and most recently, cancer. These conditions forced me to retire after 42 years of dedicated work.
Despite these setbacks, I haven't lost my desire to give back. and having cancer has really changed my outlook on life. I am so much more positive about everything and this is why I came up with this fund raiser. I believe in the power of community and the importance of paying it forward. That's why, when my health allows, I volunteer my time to help others.
My mission now is to save lifes in the community with a vital tool that could save lives: an Automated External Defibrillator (AED).
An AED is a portable device that can restart a heart in the critical minutes following a sudden cardiac arrest. Having one readily available when on duty can significantly increase the chances of survival
Here's what I'm raising funds for:
A reconditioned AED with a new battery and warranty
A used AED carry bag for easy transport
Consumables like spare adult and pediatric defibrillator pads
A CPR prep kit
The total cost for these items from Trimbio Ltd. is approximately £658.52 including VAT. Any donation, big or small, will bring us closer to achieving this goal.
Why is this important?
Sudden cardiac arrest is a leading cause of death, and it can strike anyone, anywhere. Having an AED on hand can make all the difference. By equipping our community with this lifesaving device, we can be prepared to respond to emergencies and potentially save precious lives.
Thank you for reading my story. Please consider donating to this cause. Together, we can make a real difference in the community.

Even a £1 donation and sharing this would really help get another £1s from 657 people. 😁👍
With gratitude,
Dave
