Aim: Deep water well in memory of Asmaa Begum

Assalamu Alaykum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuh, 

On 10th Dhul Hijjah 1446 AH, our beloved Grandmother, Asmaa Begum returned to our Lord. Inna Lillahi Wa Inna Ilayhi Rajioon

To keep her legacy going, we are raising £1000 to build a deep water well in Sylhet, Bangladesh as a Sadaqah Jaariyah.

“When a person dies, his deeds come to an end, except for three: ongoing charity (Sadaqah Jariyah), knowledge that is benefited from, and a righteous child who prays for him.” (Hadith Muslim)

With the power of a water well, women and children no longer must make long, treacherous journeys to fetch water. A water well saves individuals, families, and whole communities valuable time, so women can take care of children, children can be educated, crops can be planted, and livestock can be tended to. 

Water doesn’t just quench thirst – it allows for cooking, bathing, cleaning, and watering crops. It transforms a community, empowering residents to flourish while leaving an ongoing legacy of hope.

The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, “The best charity is giving water to drink and He was the most generous in giving charity.” (Hadith Ahmad)
