Who We Are, What We Believe, and How You Can Help

Deal Pride was started in 2022 with a few friends because we saw a real need in our town—somewhere for LGBTQ+ people to feel seen, safe, and celebrated without having to travel miles or spend loads of money just to be themselves.

We’re a small, passionate team of volunteers—local people who care deeply about making our community more inclusive and connected. None of us are paid; we do this because we believe in it.

Our vision is simple: to create a Pride that reflects the warmth and spirit of Deal—where everyone, no matter their age, background, identity or ability, feels welcome. That means making our events completely free to attend and accessible to all. But to do that, we need help.

The money we raise will go directly into things like:

• Stage, sound and safety equipment for our Pride event

• BSL interpreters, ramps and accessible toilets

• Insurance, first aid, and safeguarding

• Free community workshops and meet-ups throughout the year

• Visibility materials like banners, flags, and posters that show Deal stands with its LGBTQ+ community

We’re not backed by big sponsors—this is powered by people. Every donation, no matter the size, helps us keep Pride local, meaningful, and open to everyone.
