Dawn til Dusk Hockey Match

On the 22nd June 2024 we are playing a 16 hour Hockey Match starting at 5:30am and finishing at 9:30pm at Crewe Vagrants Sports Club. We are fundraising to replace the floodlights for our outdoor all weather sports pitch. The current floodlights were installed in 1994 and have served exceptionally well over the past 30 years. A more modern design will reduce the clubs carbon footprint, provide better lighting and ensure the safety of everyone. The pitch provides sporting facilities for Hockey, local football leagues, schools, holiday activity clubs, local universities plus many more. The continued use and popularity of the astro is ever growing within the community. It brings more and more groups together. Without the replacement of the floodlights this will seriously impact how we use the astro. Through the darker months, the lights are on from 5pm most evenings, and sometimes most of the day on match day Saturdays. To continue hockey and sport at the Vagrants replacement is essential.
