I'm aiming to raise enough funds for my daughter's nursery fees. This isn't something I wanted to do, but here I am...

Welcome

To whom it may concern,

Hello. This is something I'd never thought I'd find myself doing. Hopefully you'll read my message in its entirety.

About Me

My name is Leanne, and I'm from the North West of England. I am reaching out in the hope of finding kind-hearted individuals who could assist me during this challenging financial period.

Currently on maternity leave in the UK, I find myself grappling with financial strain. The government statutory pay, while a support, leaves me with less than half of my usual income. Financially, I am facing a tough situation ahead when my beautiful little girl starts nursery.

When not on maternity leave, I work in a nursery. While I plan to return to work after my leave ends early next year, the financial burden of my daughter's looming nursery fees is causing immense anxiety. My daughter would attend the nursery where I work, and even with an employee discount, the monthly nursery fees amount to just under £1,000 - surpassing my total monthly household expenses.

Each morning, the radiant smile of my little girl is my source of strength. I am striving to provide her with the upbringing I longed for as a child.

Why I'm doing this.

Asking people for money is a step I never imagined taking, but in my current desperation, I humbly seek any support available. My goal is to secure a donation of £30,000 to cover the nursery fees for her entire time at the nursery, which is just over 3 years.

You might question my calculation of the needed amount, but come September next year, we will benefit from funded hours, slightly reducing the costs. Hence, my plea for £30,000, but honestly anything you can spare would be greatly appreciated.

You may be asking yourself why I'm not asking the government for help but as I'm a homeowner and both myself and my husband are in full-time employment, we don't qualify for any government assistance, even though we're feeling the strain.

I appeal to your compassion and generosity. Your help, in any form, would mean the world to us, and I would be eternally grateful for your kindness as I would never be able to return the favour in any way.

Thank you in advance.

Thank you for taking the time to read my story, and I sincerely hope you consider supporting my cause.

Hopefully you made it to the end of my story, if so, thank you for taking the time to read it. I appreciate it.

Warm Regards,

Leanne
