I've written and had performed three musicals at little festivals in the UK. This new piece, The Park, was inspired by a workshop I gave with a group of young people. I asked them what they wanted it to be about and they said they wanted everyone to be happy in a beautiful world. I wrote the piece to reflect that wish.
I hope to assemble a small cast and crew to travel round and put on impromptu street performances. To achieve this we will need a van to travel and probably live in. This will be the major initial expense, followed by living expenses.
Depending on the success or otherwise I also have another musical I've never performed. Establishing a good group would enable further productions. The van is the catalyst.
