We are a charity based in Hastings, working to enable the whole community to engage in fun social dance activities. We provide inclusive accessible dance sessions for the community, with a focus on dance for adults with learning and physical disabilities and dementia friendly dance in care homes. We also organise inclusive accessible family-friendly dance events, and are developing dance for independent wheelchair users and dance for those whose mental health prevents access to dance activities.

0Through our inclusive accessible dance sessions for adults with disabilities we aim to promote wellbeing within the community in three distinct ways:
PHYSICAL WELLBEING
Encouraging our participants to move their bodies in whatever way works for them, regardless of perceived mobility challenges.
EMOTIONAL WELLBEING
Having fun, being creative and engaging in safe touch as part of a welcoming and supportive group.
SOCIAL WELLBEING
Connecting with people in a friendly, fun, sociable setting. Making new friends and sharing positive, uplifting experiences together.
We run inclusive accessible community sessions that are accessible to wheelchair users and those with physical and learning disabilities.
We also run dementia friendly dance sessions to care homes and day care centres for the elderly. The sessions combine therapeutic movement activities with social dance, offering a range of opportunities for participants to take part.
We use music from a variety of cultures and social eras, and we are always open to requests. A range of props are used to encourage movement. Volunteer dance buddies support our sessions and carers are encouraged to take part.
We are devloping our offer to include a wider range of community classes, such as tap for adults with learning disabilities, accessible inclusive tik tok dances, dance for independent wheelchair users, seated dance for those with mobility issueOur Team
Our dance facilitators are experienced community dancers and dance teachers who have teaching or theraputic qualifications and/or training with Paradance UK.
Our volunteer dance buddies love to dance and have fun engaging with our participants. We are always looking for additional dance buddies to support our sessions.
