We're still collecting donations
On the 28th January 2024 we'd raised £1,455 with 30 supporters in 28 days. But as every pound matters, we're continuing to collect donations from supporters.
We have secured new premises! Larger, more well equipped and extra facilities!

We will make a permanent home for Dance Factory Studios by increasing the venues branding and visibility, we want to build something our whole #dancefamily can be proud of x
It's happening!! The Dance Factory is expanding and we're opening new studios with more space, more facilities, a stage, a Coffee Spot and a Dance Shop ... but we need your help!
Our plan, and the one that sparked this campaign, is to create a permanent home for our school and dance family. The Dance Factory has been so well received by the local community and was originally created with a vision of a family run, everyone welcome, place to learn.
12 years on we want to share this with even more families and add more strings to our bow!
Each 'donation' is in return for a reward; something redeemable at Dance Factory either now or once we have moved.
We want to offer before and after school care, holiday clubs, playgroups, a place you can relax, a place you can get fit or dance away the tension. We want to work with other local groups, the local Primary School and the elderly. And we want this place to be there for a very long time, serving the next generation of children and adults from Denholme and the surrounding areas. And what could be a more perfect place to do this than in the centre of the village at Denholme Mechanics Institute.
Running a small business in the current climate is a huge challenge... and expanding one even more so! Many of you will know we recently spent a considerable amount trying to secure another different venue and when it all fell through we were left in a very precarious position financially.
We’ve powered through and come out with even more determination but this is where you can really help to make a difference, not only to us but to our local community, and to the services we can provide to other independent businesses in the area.
Since opening Dance Factory back in January 2012 we have been introduced to a wonderful community of families in the area and we would love for you to all to be a part of it!
With your help we will create a new space for little ones and grown ups to enjoy in equal measure.
We will also have a gorgeous space available to hire as a venue for others wanting to host their own events. Perfect for intimate workshops, children's classes or little groups to come together separately.
About the funds raised:
Everything always comes at a price and all this is a little too much for us to finance organically in such a short period of time. We will be re-purposing, re-using and making as much as we can ourselves as well as upcycling things we already have but we still need help so the funds raised will go towards the purchases of the following items:
We'd love for you to support the project from the very beginning and be a part of it from the start. We're so passionate about this new venture and we know you will be too!
We want Dance Factory to be part of your family and to know it has been somewhat funded by our amazing community, gritted determination and hard work.
Up to now we have managed to be self-funded but in order to make this the BEST we know it can be.. we need that extra help.
We will be extremely grateful to anyone who can help this project reach its full potential Including any donations of good we can pass on to our supporters.
Kathryn and all the team (including the future bosses Lacey and Nicole) x
