Aim: I will be cycling from the UK to Spain to Raise money for a local martial arts charity (Nam yang Brighton).
Nam Yang Brighton is a martial arts charity based in Brighton. They operate with an explicit social aim, social equality, and to make sport accessible to all marginalised groups. Nam Yang Brighton were awarded their Club of Sanctuary award in 2021 for their work with refugees and asylum seekers. Many of their members are on low income and many have caring responsibilities, both things they specifically provide for. This includes a sliding fees scale, reduced memberships for NHS and emergency services and classes you can bring your kids to. Nam Yang is an inclusive club which believes everyone should have the right to learn martial arts. All the money raised from this event will go straight back into the club and to the community.
I plan to do the cycle in 6 weeks, I will be cycling from Brighton to Bilbao but will be including the raid Pyrenean in my route.
