The Curzon is a wonderful school at the heart of the village of Quarndon.
For many schools money is extremely tight and the sad reality is that often hard decisions need to made for the sake of money rather than what is best for the children.
The Curzon is no exception. The small size of our school adds to its caring community feel, but it also exacerbates the pressures caused by fluctuations in pupil numbers and budget.
We have it our power to alleviate some of that pressure and give the school a steady additional income from which it can fund investment in better facilities, materials and educational experiences for our children.
In the past, PTFA funding has helped pay for the MUGA, new smartboards for every classroom, a large upgrade in curriculum materials and classroom equipment, and most recently we helped fund the new playground markings, thanks to your support.
This year we are hoping to raise money to pay for further improvements to the playground and outdoor spaces, such as quiet spaces and a new allotment, as well as provide a budget for individual class teachers to use for equipment and activities.
