Aim: I'm standing for the Cumbernauld & Kilsyth Scottish Parliament constituency on 7th May 2026 and I need your help to fund the campaign.

I'M STANDING FOR SOVEREIGNTY/ LIBERATE SCOTLAND

I’m the Sovereignty/ Liberate Scotland candidate (Liberate Scotland on the Central Scotland Regional List) for the Scottish Parliament constituency of Cumbernauld and Kilsyth; elections on 7th May 2026. My party, Sovereignty, wants full independence: from Westminster, the EU... and the sneaky technocrats in Davos! Liberate Scotland is an umbrella organisation with one aim: independence, nothing more, nothing less!

MY PREVIOUS CAMPAIGNS

I've previously campaigned in Kirkintilloch East & South and Twechar (and also up in Kintyre) firstly for the GB-wide party Freedom Alliance and then for the Scottish party Sovereignty. That's why I've continued my blog https://freekirkytwechar.wordpress.com/ for this  campaign, and you can find my Sovereignty: Cumbernauld & Kilsyth playlist on: https://www.youtube.com/@gumptionology

MY CONNECTION TO CUMBERNAULD & KILSYTH

That East Dunbartonshire Council ward is part of the Strathkelvin & Bearsden Scottish Parliament (Holyrood) constituency and I live on the NE border, right beside the World Heritage remains of the ancient Antonine Wall and the Industrial Heritage of the Forth & Clyde Canal. Both continue east between the towns of Cumbernauld and Kilsyth, also the name of the Holyrood constituency which almost shares its boundaries with the Westminster constituency of Cumbernauld, Kilsyth & Kirkintilloch East.

In other words, I share an elected Westminster representative with everyone in the Holyrood Cumbernauld and Kilsyth constituency, currently Katrina Murray of (Scottish) Labour. The adjective is in brackets because ‘Scottish Labour’ is registered with the Electoral Commission as an accounting unit, not as a separate party to Labour / Llafur—and whereas five out of the eleven registered descriptions of that party are in Welsh, there are none in Gaelic. In fairness, my own party doesn’t have any other descriptions at all but it does have a large proportion of Gaelic speakers and it is an authentic party, registered in Scotland. (Currently in Glasgow though there is talk of moving the party HQ to Shetland.)

Cumbernauld & Kilsyth constituency contains some beautiful scenery, along the canal where I love to walk, and also kayak, up the hills beyond Kilsyth to the edge of the Carron Valley reservoir and the Meikle (locally Muckle) Bin in the range of hills just west of Stirling, the Campsie Fells. There’s also the interesting architecture of Cumbernauld—famous for its roundabouts, split-level houses and brutalist shopping centre—the peaceful Palacerigg country park and the lovely canal boat marina at Auchinstarry, pictured.

WHY I NEED YOUR HELP

Recently, I lost my job at university due (I feel) to my public opposition to warmongering and my concern over vaccine injuries, and I've been an unpaid carer for a decade - so I need your help to pay the £500 deposit and to fund the campaign. I account for all campaign funding, please don't donate over £50 (in total) as that's potentially problematic, any unused funding I donate to my party: Sovereignty. (Crowdfunder keeps 2.4% +£0.20 per transaction so, if you donate £10, the platform gets 44p and my campaign gets £9.56.)

LET'S TALK - I'M LISTENING!

In the next few months, I intend to be out and about all over this constituency, wearing my Sovereignty tee-shirt (while it’s still sunny) so if you spot me please say hello and let me know your priorities for Cumbernauld & Kilsyth.

IMPRINT

Promoted by Alan McManus of Sovereignty, both of the Florence Louisa, PA29 6TR.
