Who are we?
We are Crowthorne Rugby Football Club, established in 1995 and relocated to our current location in 2018. Our primary aim is to provide an inclusive environment where anyone can get involved in rugby—whether to train, play, support, or volunteer. As a community-run club, we field both mens and ladies adult teams, embodying a family spirit and playing a vital role within our local community.
Why are we crowdfunding?
We are seeking to extend our clubhouse to enhance the facilities for our players, fans, and the wider community. This expansion will provide a welcoming space for hosting other clubs after matches, gathering our supporters, and holding diverse community events and classes throughout the year.
Additionally, by improving our facilities, we aim to attract more players and volunteers, securing the future of Crowthorne RFC for generations to come.
How we’ll spend the money raised
The funds we raise will be dedicated to constructing an extension to our clubhouse, which will include a bar, kitchen, and a spacious area for socialising and dining. This expansion is not only about enhancing our social spaces but also about creating essential income streams for Crowthorne RFC.
These upgrades will ensure the financial stability and future viability of the club for years to come.
Community impact
The proposed extension will allow us to significantly expand our club's offerings to the community. We envision our club as a versatile community hub, open for events like birthday parties, classes, and training sessions, or simply as a meeting place for a cup of tea. Our goal is for the entire community to have access to and benefit from our facilities, making it a central gathering point for all.
How you can play your part
There are four simple ways to help us reach our target, and make this project a reality.
1. Make a pledge. Don’t delay if you’re going to support us because momentum is key to our success!
2. Spread the word. Share our project on your social media pages and tell the world to get behind us! The more people we reach, the more support we will get.
3. Offer rewards. Get involved if you are a local business by donating things we can offer to our supporters. We will give you a shout out!
4. Fundraise for us. If you want to run your own fundraiser – maybe a sponsored activity or similar – use the 'contact project' button at the top of our page to let us know. Setting up your own page only takes a few minutes and you won’t need any bank details. Just a fun idea!
