RAW ROAR: Healing from Childhood Sexual Abuse -CSA

Aim: RAW ROAR is a powerful healing event supporting survivors of CSA. We’re raising £50,000 to bring this sacred, restorative space to life.

Hi, I’m Toyin Okunuga — a trauma-informed specialist, transformational speaker, bestselling author of Hush to Roar, and survivor of childhood sexual abuse. I created RAW ROAR yearly CSA THRIVERS event to break the silence around CSA and bring hope, healing, and powerful storytelling into one unapologetic event.

I’ll be joined by a team of trauma-sensitive facilitators, artists, and wellness professionals who believe in creating safe, expressive spaces for recovery. Together, we aim to change the narrative around trauma, one voice at a time.

Why We’re Raising £50,000

RAW ROAR will be a live, public healing event in London this October for  survivors, allies, educators, and health professionals. This ambitious goal will help us:

• Secure a powerful venue in central London
• Host live musicians, artists, and guest speakers
• Provide a BSL interpreter and a trauma-safe wellness zone
• Offer refreshments, books, healing art, and trauma-informed resources
• Cover AV crew, stage design, safeguarding, and insurance
• Pay Toyin’s leadership fee as the producer, speaker, and host
