Help us raise money for a new roof!!!!!

On the 21st December 2024 we'd raised £1,125 with 15 supporters in 77 days. But as every pound matters, we're continuing to collect donations from supporters.
The Forge Banff CIC is creating a community arts hub, to serve Banff, Macduff, Whitehills, and the surrounding areas with classes, activities, workshops, and community events.
We will offer classes in art, crafts, jewellery making, and heritage crafts that will help to preserve the culture of our beautiful area. In addition there will be provision for studio, gallery and retail space for local artists. We also endeavour to work with community groups, schools, and other local businesses to raise the profile of the area, and play our part in keeping our local community thriving.
The premises include a large workshop and a yard, which will also allow a range of outdoor activities, which we hope to include gardening, permaculture workshops, blacksmithing and others.
Other initiatives we are looking into include repair cafes, bicycle loans, and markets.

A wedding Ceremony!!
Yes, we are serious - an incredibly generous offer from the wonderful Georgia Brooker - but please read the details first!!
As an experienced celebrant registered with The Humanist Society Scotland, and an enthusiastic supporter of the wonderfully inclusive, creative community developing with The Forge, I’m offering to write and officiate a uniquely personal, legal marriage ceremony, or vow renewal ceremony, within 2025-26, worth £400.
Because of the legal nature of wedding dates, and to honour existing bookings, a date would need to be mutually agreed before the end of 2024, for a day not currently conflicting with existing commitments.
Please note that the couple would be required to pay £98 to the Humanist Society Scotland to secure their date and become members of the HSS, and would also cover any significant celebrant travel expenses. Standard legal requirements for marriage would apply, and can be discussed in more detail if needed by contacting [email protected], or visit portal.humanism.Scot/celebrant-profile/georgia-brooker/ to see more about me as a celebrant.
