Hi 👋 im Georgia. Im 23 from Birmingham UK and just like many others my age, im passionate about creating a life for myself and others with my business idea. Ive taken MONTHS of research regarding legalities and how the hell i even go about this idea. Thats where im asking for help. With your investment, i have found a huge gap in the market and a gap that could be filled for the greater good.
My business idea is cosmetics ie- lip glosses, eyeshadow pallets, blushers, mascaras which each contain a story ALL different, some may even become collectibles…
Each product has a story of a convict (inspired to protect privacy) of their charge and their sentence. Ie- ‘My name is Grace and i was done for fraud and assault in 2008, i served 16 months’ and then have the product shade be individual to the story which adds an extra layer of personality to the product. Obviously due to how much that would cost, the shade would be distributed for a large batch and a number code much like a sentence card they have in prison to identify the shade when online shopping. (Same number, different shade names)
Im inspired by the power of second chances. Every product i plan to create—whether it’s a gloss, mascara, or blush—is tied to the story of rehabilitation, resilience, and the raw truth that people are more than their worst mistake. Whether fictional or inspired by real life, each “mugshot” we share is a tribute to someone’s journey from confinement to confidence, and each purchase helps fund a better future for those reentering society after incarceration.
My ethos is rooted in humanity. I believe in reform over punishment, healing over judgment, and dignity over dismissal. Through transparency, creativity, and community-driven action, i aim to build a brand that not only looks good but does good.
Mugshot Beauty is for those who believe that glam can be radical. That lipstick can carry a legacy. That packaging can tell a story;
That beauty is activism—and that there’s power in giving people a platform, a purpose, and a path forward.
We are not here to glorify crime. We are here to humanize it. To reclaim the narrative. And to prove that beauty, like people, can come from even the darkest places.
I want to create a business where like Lush, with the little face of the person who created it, i have inspired real stories of people with a few tweaks to protect their privacy. My aim is to give back to them.

Donation to prison charities/organisations- £5
Total- £19.
