The Covid-19 pandemic has affected Crewe&Nantwich Rugby Club’s ability to raise funds through our normal channels of Sponsorship, Socials, Dinners and Events. Our goal is to remain open for business as usual, to support the physical health and emotional welfare of as many local residents as we can; and continue to inspire teamwork, progression, passion and support for bright futures.
We have reopened our grounds and facilities (as per ongoing Government and RFU guidance) for the benefit of our players, but we want to be able to invite more people safely into our Sport, and the Rugby family.
C&N RUFC's constitutional objective is to “provide facilities for, and promote participation of the whole community in the sport of Rugby and for the social interaction of its members”. We want to inspire more adults and children to get active – but we need urgent support to continue to do this.
That's where you come in.
Our ‘Get Active Together’ programme is committed to protecting the welfare and safety of both children and adults, encouraging old and new member’s alike to have a safe, positive and fun experience in Rugby Union, whatever their level of Involvement.
Rugby contributes to a healthy lifestyle, as well as offering many opportunities for positive growth, achievement, fun and friendship.
C&N RUFC run 3 senior MEN’S teams, 2 senior WOMEN’S teams, COLTS (male U18’s), Girls’ U18’s, Boys’ and Girls‘ U15’s, Boys‘ and Girls’ U13’s plus Age-grade teams all the way up from 5 year old children with a focus of ‘continuum’ to develop transferable skills in a safe and inclusive, family orientated atmosphere. There’s a place for everyone at C&N RUFC regardless of age, ability or experience.
All of our coaches, managers and volunteers are highly qualified and experienced mentors with enhanced DBS certificates.
Our Sports Club is a not-for-profit organisation ran by a team of Volunteers; tackling the operational barriers faced in community grass-roots sport, with key objectives to widening participation and supporting our community.
We will use any funds donated, to pay our fixed and on-going facilities, grounds and maintenance costs alongside our phased return-to-training plan, to deliver our ‘Get Active Together‘ campaign and restart fixtures.
These are unprecedented times but together, we are stronger.
Please follow our Facebook, Twitter and Instagram feeds for the most current information about the re-opening of our grounds, return to training and upcoming fixtures!
