Our business for Underprivileged Women
A few women from poor backgrounds came together to set up a home based Biscuit business with some help from us, the overall theme of the business is run by majority women for women from underprivileged backgrounds. Currently we struggle to pay rent on this flat, hardly appropriate place for a business.
The Demand for our products is looking good but we do not have the appropriate equipment or space to meet this demand.
We need to raise £50,000 this will cover mixers and ovens and bit left over for first year rents in an appropriate unit.
Thats all it will take to get these woman on their feet and who knows out of a few how many other women will get employment.
We have had interest from local shops who love the taste of our products. Our biscuits are flying but it will be such a shame due to lack of funds if we collapse.
All our biscuits are freshly made with our own blend of carefully selected ingredients.
Our Goals
Move into a small purpose built unit.
Buy appropriate health and safety and work wear.
Purchase better machinery to meet demand for sales.
Plough back from profits to enhance the lives of these women.
Our people
These women who have suffered great trauma and poverty have a chance to have permanent work and therefore better their livelihoods. Women who live in refuge's looking after children or who find themselves in dire circumstances are given the training and skills to be part of a close knit team that can make a difference to their lives. These women are then able to get their foot on the housing ladder as well as gain sponsorships from the business for further education. We need just a bit of support to buy some machinery and health and safety equipment, the sales from which will get us on our feet and have a chance to move in to better premises where the woman can work in a secure fit for purpose environment. We hope you will support this worthy business helping to benefit and put back into the community.
