Working within the community is high on the agenda for CPH2 and this year we have chosen two charities that we would like to support.
Doncaster Mind is a passionate and energetic organisation that promotes recovery from mental ill-health, improved emotional well-being and independent living. They offer face-to-face and online services from one-to-one support, groups, activities, guided learning, training and volunteering opportunities. Doncaster Mind works with a host of organisations both statutory and voluntary organisations, these include the City Of Doncaster Council, Integrated Care Board Doncaster and Rotherham, and NHS Foundation Trusts. The small team cares about making a difference to the people of Doncaster and works hard to make a positive change for people’s mental health. The charity has supported people in Doncaster and the surrounding area for over 40 years. Find out more about Doncaster Mind here
Support Dogs is a national charity dedicated to saving and improving the lives of children and adults with various challenging medical conditions. They specialise in providing assistance dogs for three specific needs; Autism assistance dogs for children, seizure alert dogs for people with epilepsy. Support Dogs also offer a unique service of disability assistance dogs for people with physical disabilities. Since its establishment in 1992, Support Dogs has been a beacon of hope, operating across England, Scotland, and Wales, and offering all its services free of charge to those in need. Yet, this noble cause is sustained solely by the generosity of voluntary donations, as the charity receives no government funding. Find out more about Support Dogs here
