The Covid inquiry has finally started - but now we need to fight for the testimony of those who have lost loved ones during Covid to be used as evidence.

We are over 6,500 families who have fought for over 2 years for the inquiry to go ahead - and now it's started, we will be fighting every single day to make sure those who lost loved ones to Covid-19 are heard at every step of the way.
It’s been a long and difficult road to get where we are today. A Government that didn’t want an inquiry. An army of lawyers with unlimited resources. Delay after delay. Fighting for justice whilst mourning the loss of our loved ones.
Eventually, the Government relented, and an inquiry was promised to investigate if there were mistakes or incompetence from the government during the Covid-19 pandemic, so that guilty parties can be held to account, lessons can be learned quickly and mistakes never repeated.
However, apart from the initial consultation, the Inquiry team has minimised our input at every stage. There's been very limited collaboration or dialogue with the inquiry team. Our testimony has been moved to a 'listening exercise' which we are told is going to be summarised by a private research company, rather than be heard by the chair.
The chair and panel MUST hear our testimony so lessons can be learned. The Inquiry is in session, and we must act quickly.
With your help we will engage our members, run digital campaigns to highlight our message and keep telling our stories to the media. We'll work with other groups to bring our collective voice together. We'll make sure ordinary people who were badly impacted by the pandemic are heard - not just the governments army of lawyers.
