In response to the COVID-19 outbreak Brimstone Enterprises will be designing and developing a prototype ventilator to RMVS001

by Thomas Anderson in Barrow In Furness, England, United Kingdom

We're still collecting donations

On the 21st May 2020 we'd raised £260 with 6 supporters in 56 days. But as every pound matters, we're continuing to collect donations from supporters.

With immediate effect, Brimstone Enterprises Ltd are committing all available engineering resources to design and develop a ventilator prototype to RMVS001. Once qualified we will scale up production to output as many ventilators as possible.

We specialise in mechanical design for harsh environments as we're used to working to stringent specifications. We have the mechanical design resource covered already, but we will need the support of our network to achieve this task. We are looking to create a consortium of companies and require support in the following areas:
- Electronics & control systems design
- Electrical design
- Machine shops and fabricators
- Hydraulic & pnuematic fittings
- Plastic and rubber moulding
- Rapid prototyping and 3d printing
- Funding

We require funding to make this happen and your assistance would be greatly appreciated. All donations will go towards the development of the ventilator prototype and any equipment required to manufacture them.

Let's harness the power of SMEs to support our elderly and vulnerable. Please join us and support us in our fight to save lives!

UPDATE - 27 March 2020

The concept design phase is almost complete and we’ve already ordered some components to build a prototype. We’ll looking at the electrical & electronics elements this evening and specify a system diagram of any onboard sensors, alarms and powered components. The ventilator will be designed for rapid manufacture using laser cut components and readily available off the shelf components. Interchangeability of components is also possible in case of shortages. Hoping to start 3D printing this weekend.

We ask project owners to honour their rewards wherever possible but please note that all pledges are donations and there is no guarantee that you will receive any rewards from the project owner. Please see Crowdfunder's Terms of Use for more information regarding rewards for pledges.
