We're still collecting donations
On the 3rd September 2020 we'd raised £2,995 with 55 supporters in 55 days. But as every pound matters, we're continuing to collect donations from supporters.
To replace funds lost by the club due to the Covid. Bad news Club to be closed 15/16 Aug with no cricket due to supporter testing positive

On the 3rd September 2020 we'd raised £2,995 with 55 supporters in 55 days. But as every pound matters, we're continuing to collect donations from supporters.
We have plans to build a security fence around our new cricket nets and to create a safe children's play area, this would allow more of the community to get involved with the club.
The cricket and bowling club is at the centre of the village life having playing members from 9 to 90. In normal times the cricket section would run 3 junior teams and 2 senior teams whilst 4 open age 3 veterans and 3 ladies teams would make up the crown green bowling section. Schools and several local groups including the Women's Institute and Saddleworth Olympics regularly use our facilities but due to covid that has all been stopped. Fundraising evenings with local artist, an outdoor film event and quiz nights cancelled has meant income plummeting to zero. In the little of the summer left we need to encourage our supporters to raise funds through crowdfunder so that we can carry on strong into the future. Stop Press the club has been closed for an expensive deep clean and no cricket for the weekend 15/16th August further reducing the finances after a supporter has test positive for covid.
