Costumes for Les Miserables: School Edition
We did it
On 22nd May 2024 we successfully raised £300 with 2 supporters in 42 days

We are raising money to enable our production to be costumed by a professional company whilst keeping costs as low as possible for families.

by Kirklees Youth Theatre Ensemble in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, United Kingdom

Kirklees Youth Theatre Ensemble was formed in 2018 by John Cotgrave & Tania Smith. It was soon joined by Mark Breen and the three have been together ever since. Their core values and mission statement show their commitment to educating young people in the skills required to become a successful performer within the musical theatre industry. All three are teachers in Kirklees schools and have trained professionally in the performing arts.

KYTE is not currently run as a business and the vast majority of hours that the founding members put into it are unpaid.

On top of the nurturing, support and life skills they bring to all members of KYTE, they have also, over the years, put their own money into the organisation to help it keep afloat.

All amounts of donations are welcome and very gratefully received. Even if you could just publicise the fundraiser among your social media followers, relatives and friends that would be a huge help.

For all donations of £100 or more, we are offering VIP packages to performances of Les Miserables: School Edition which will go towards the ‘costume fund’ for the show.

*There is very limited availability for some performances. If you would like to attend as a VIP we recommend doing so as as soon as possible. This production is sold out and these are the only tickets left*

4th x 3 pairs

5th x 3 pairs

6th x 4 pairs

7th Matinee x 3 pairs

7th Evening x 1 pair

Each VIP package entitles you to

• a pair of tickets to the performance of your choice (we have 5 pairs for each performance)
• a programme
• a thank you message in the programme
• a thank you message on KYTE social media platforms (please let us know if you would rather remain anonymous)
• a certificate of appreciation presented by cast members after the performance you watch.

Packages can be bought by individual parents, relatives, friends, neighbours, the window cleaner…alternatively they can be purchased by the business you own or for whom you work.

Production dates: 4th-7th September 2024 at The Lawrence Batley Theatre Huddersfield. (Evening performances each day with an additional matinee on the 7th). Please specify on the donation, or by contacting 07876022208, which performance you would like to attend.

If you are the owner of a business and you would like us to publicise the company name we are happy to do so. We have far-reaching social media platforms covering the Kirklees Area with high levels of interactions with our posts.

Each £100 donation will put approximately £50 into the ‘costume fund’ which will actually cost £6,000 in total. The remaining £50 will cover the costs of tickets etc.

We know times are tough for a lot of us right now but if those that can afford to help out do so, we can ensure that fees stay as low as possible.

Thank you for your support,

Natalie
