I was unlucky to be diagnosed with idiopathic Scoliosis nearly five years ago.Every day has been spent in pain, worse when it is very cold. Due to the two curves I have in my spine I am bent over, a bit like the Hunchback of Notre Dam. So walking is painful and I have been housebound for four years. My local hospital were not prepared to operate, but I managed to get a second opinion from one of the top Scoliosis surgeons at the Royal National Hospital for Orthopaedics in Stanmore Middlesex. That was just before the first lock down. I saw him again in January 2022 and he was prepared to operate on me and so I am waiting like many others for a lifechanging operation. I have no idea as to how much this would be privately. I expect it to be many thousands. I am appealing for some help with medical expenses as I live four hundred miles away from the hospital. I would like a car or a comfortable mode of transport should I get a date soon??!! I may need to stay in a motel for a night or two. I need help plus a dash of hope please.
I just want to walk my little dog!
