On the 1st November 2024 we'd raised £186 with 13 supporters in 84 days. But as every pound matters, we're continuing to collect donations from supporters.
Trouble In The Square & Risk the Biscuit have come together to collaborate on a new and exciting physical theatre show "BRIAN".
BRIAN tells the story of a young man who has decided to flee his home, in the pursuit of a better life. He becomes adrift at sea, and it is here that the story unfolds to be the story we all know. Click here to learn more about the show
We have come together to raise money to host workshops as part of our Research and Development process, to bring all refugee communities who have been placed across the country the chance to be listened to, and have their story and journey being told through our new show. This is how we begin our project´s journey. Through community to community.
*If you are a firm believer that this project should lift off the ground and lend an ear to those who need to be listened to, consider donate whichever you think suits you best. *

What are these workshops, you ask us?
Conflict In The Square workshops are a 3 hour long class, led by Artistic Director - Miguel Mota & Risk the Biscuit Artistic Director - Lewis Williams.
In these, we explore how through our favourite stories and journeys, we are able to create a conjunction of layers that make up an original creation. We spark your ideas, and help you turn these blueprints into something graspable, through the use of Total theatre and physical theatre techniques, and musical stimuli.
Who are these workshops aimed at?
Conflict In The Square workshops are aimed at people, institutions, and communities. These workshops are a result of the development of our project BRIAN, in which we tell the stories of immigrants, refugees, asylum seekers… through these workshops we spark interest, development, and most important of all, we allow for everyone to tell their story, their journey, their importance in this world through the kind words of theatre.
Are these workshops for free?
Yes they are! We believe in expanding accessibility in theatre and creative development through reaching out to those with a less ordinary access to artistic development or any artistic platforms.
.Are these workshops accessible to all levels of performance experience?
Our workshops are accessible to all levels - Whether you are a seasoned performer, freshly graduated from Drama School or University, or simply interested in the magical world of Theatre and Physical Theatre.
And people with disabilities?
We are proud to offer workshops for everyone. All you need to do is specify your disability and requirements.
