Late last year our volunteers in the Corston Community Orchard set up a night vision camera to capture wildlife. Over the first few months we were rewarded with lovely photos of a Barn Own and a Tawny Owl. We shared photos with our Duke of Edinburgh students and wider volunteer group who make this space beautiful for everyone.
The camera was programmed to only take photos between dusk and dawn and was intended to only capture wildlife at night.
Sadly at the end of January the camera was stolen. It was PIN protected so has little value to whoever took it.
Our plan is replace the camera in time for the increase in activity in the spring. The camera we wish to buy will produce high quality images, and will have additional anti-theft measures to avoid it being stolen a seond time.
