Community Kitchen

Aim: A welcoming, inclusive safe space, providing freshly cooked food and activities to improve mental health and wellbeing.

Lodestars is a family run business,  having experienced the lack of fun, safe and non judgemental social venues for any who have a mental health issue or are differently abled, we decided to launch our non profit.   Open to all,  we aim to support various groups, usually requested by the community.   

We hope to expand what we can offer to our community,  for example barista training, more inclusive activities and more peer support groups.  

With many local authorities closing centres we are needed more than ever.  We can offer a place to play, dance, meet, rehearse, eat and find friends.  We also run quarterly craft markets with up to 40 local crafters attending,  

With more funding we can extend our cafe, this means we can sustain the current activities and also offer others that the community are requesting. 

Future groups we intend to introduce

• Wheelie Fit 
• Parent support for those who support agoraphobic adult children
• Lunch Club (to expand social circles for people differently abled )
