Aim: To improve the Carbon Footprint of the Community Hall by replacing the failing 1960's Potterton boiler system with a modern heating system.

Our Community hall is next to St Botolph's Church, a 13th Century Grade 1 listed church at the heart of Northfleet community.

Our Community Hall is used by the local groups:

Uniformed Groups: Scouts, Guides, Rainbows and Brownies

Boxing Club

Hive Hope Food Bank

Wellbeing Group

Lego Group - Autistic Support Group

Who Let the Dads out - space for fathers to bring their children

History Club

Craft Sewing Club

Dancing Club

Singing Groups

Tuesday Lunch and Tuesday Tea

For Private Parties, celebrating Baptisms, weddings and birthdays.

We are working towards having a more carbon neutral heating system and one that is remotely managed so that we can be effective in when the heating comes on and ensuring it is turned off in a timely manner to avoid wasting energy.

There is the hope to add solar or wind charging and a large battery bank that will allow us to run the lighting system on that circuit and so further reduce our energy usage.

This ties in with our existing lighting the community project in having our modern energy efficient LED floodlights on at night to provide the community with a safe space to gather or for their walk home from work.
