To build on the launch of the fish farm by making use of the fish water to grow food using sandponics & power the school 100% using solar

by Ethan in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe

We are a  team based in Zimbabwe, UK  and Poland and we are very passionate about making our local school   a better place  through community engagement and involvement  in impactful sustainable projects that can be shared and replicated easily  by other communities.

We call  it the Ubuntu blueprint .

The Fish Farming idea  came about following a visit  to my  childhood school and discussing the needs of the students and the community.

The vision is to build out  a sustainable community driven  fish farming project that branches out into sandponics to produce vegetables  by re-using the the nutrient rich  water  throughout the fish growing season and be a 100 % solar powered.

We plan to use the money raised to build out the infrastructure for the sandponics  to grow vegetables  and expand the solar system to include an inverter &  battery bank of  10kwh for energy storage over night and daytime use.

Additionally, we would like to employ two more staff to support the expansion of the project .

We look forward to your  support.
