Coaches Keeping Up the Pace, 10k race

Aim: We aim to provide affordable, accessible football to local children.
While most dads are kicking back on Father's Day, this crew of volunteer football coaches are swapping the sidelines for the road, taking on a 10K run to raise funds for Coatbridge City FC. These legends don’t just shout tactics from the side—they dedicate their time, energy, and (let’s be honest) vocal cords to making sure the kids get the best experience possible. Now, they’re pushing themselves beyond the usual drills, proving they’re just as committed off the pitch as they are on it.
With every mile, they’re running for better kits, equipment improvements, and the kind of opportunities that keep the spirit of grassroots football alive. And let’s face it, if they can handle a team full of energetic kids, they can definitely handle a 10K. So here’s to the coaches going the extra mile—literally—showing that football isn’t just about the game; it’s about the community, the passion, and the people who make it all happen.
