Wonderful amount raised and with the money from Christians together as well as the national trust being in contact to help build for us this money that's been pledged will help to keep stock levels going for a little while. Which us fab. Thank you so much..
Hi all, little update. We have had an amazing cash donation from Christians Together in Combe Martin and now an offer from our local National Trust to help us. Meaning the money already donated will go even further to keep the Pantry stocked and available. We thank you all. Let's keep this going and try and get a little bit more before this funding session ends.

I sat there and realised how bad life was for my own family. How hard my husband works all hours he can. How little we see him and how my chances of getting back into work again around the needs of our young children has been so difficult. How the wages come in and click of a switch.. gone! How the cost of food and utilities has meant we are now really struggling. But its not just me, my friends I sit at toddler group with are the same. My friends who are single parents are the same. My friends who are both working are the same. My friends who have been evicted because the house is being sold on. We are all the same. No matter your situation, your age, your luck we are all the same. So a few of us got together and decided it's a small thing but we want to make big impact. Food, food for everyone! Food for whoever needs it. We all need to eat to survive. Our Parish Council let us use our Community Centre for a food pantry. It's inside. We would love for it to be outside as well so food is available 24hrs not just when the centre is open. We want everyone to benefit. So we want to raise funds for that to happen. To buy or to build something that can keep food safe, dry and free from contamination outside for everyone to help themselves to whenever they need it.
