I am climbing Mt Kilimanjaro in September 2020 to raise funds for two worthwhile charities - Breast Cancer UK in support of not only a wonderful friend who is currently going through treatment for this disease - as she lives out in New Zealand this is my way of supporting her and letting her know that she is always in my thoughts - I can't pop round to have a gin and a chat with her (which trust me I would love to be able to do) when she is feeling rubbish and in pain so my aim is to get to the top of Kilimanjaro and shout very loudly this is for you Victoria!! My journey to the top will be nothing compared to what she has had to endure.
CASY is a local registered charity dedicated to promoting and preserving the mental and emotional health of children and young people throughout Nottinghamshire and Lincolnshire aged between 6 & 25.
Children and young adults need our support these days, there is so much pressure in various forms that they have to deal with and having someone and somewhere they can go and talk through their problems is vital. Not only supporting the young adult but also family members and carers.
